Generate with AI lets you create feedback forms from plain-language descriptions. Describe what feedback you want to collect, and encatch uses AI to draft a form with questions, sections, and question types tailored to your goals. You keep full control: preview the result, edit any part of it, and publish when ready.

Why Use Generate with AI?

• Faster start — Skip the blank canvas. Describe your intent in a few sentences and get a structured form in seconds.
• Smart question types — AI suggests appropriate input types (Rating, NPS, Short Answer, Multiple Choice, etc.) based on your description.
• Logical flow — Questions are organized into sections with sensible ordering.
• No expertise required — You don't need to know survey best practices; AI helps structure feedback effectively.
• Edit before launch — The generated form is fully editable in the Form Builder. Adjust wording, add or remove questions, and tweak settings before publishing.

Workflow Overview

Generating a feedback form with AI follows four main steps:

1. Prompt — Describe what feedback you want to collect
2. Generate — AI drafts the form with sections and questions
3. Preview & Edit — Review the form, customize, and refine
4. Publish — Make the form live when it's ready

Step 1: Prompt

After clicking + Create Feedback Form in the sidebar, you land on the Create Feedback Form page. You can choose from three creation methods: Generate with AI, Templates, or Manual.

To use AI, use the Start drafting with AI section and the prompt input field. Describe what feedback you want to collect in plain language. Be as specific or as high-level as you like.

Example prompts:

• "I want to collect feedback about our new mobile app features asking users about their experience with the new interface and what improvements they'd like to see."
• "Create a customer satisfaction feedback form with rating questions, NPS score, and open-ended feedback across multiple sections."
• "Build a product feedback form with questions about features, usability, and improvement suggestions organized into different sections."

Step 2: Generate

When the AI finishes, it creates sections and questions based on your prompt. A success message confirms the actions (e.g., "Executed 4 action(s) successfully" and "Created Mobile App UX Feedback section and 3 questions."). The generated questions appear in the Questions panel on the right.

Step 3: Preview & Edit

Once the form is generated, you can preview and edit it before publishing.

Preview Section

Click Preview Section to see a live preview of the feedback form on the same screen. This lets you verify layout, wording, and flow without leaving the page.

Preview & Launch

Click Preview & Launch in the Questions panel to be redirected to the Form Builder page, where you can customize and finalize the form before publishing.

Edit in the Form Builder

In the Form Builder, you can customize the form in detail:

• Edit questions — Click the pencil icon next to any question to change the text, answer type, or settings.
• Reorder — Use the drag handle to move questions within or between pages.
• Add or remove — Use + Add Question to add new fields; use the trash icon to delete questions or pages.
• Configure screens — Enable and configure the Welcome Screen and End Screen.
• Other settings — Adjust languages, appearance, targeting, triggers, and advanced options from the form tabs.

The Form Builder includes a real-time mobile preview so you can see how the form looks on different devices. Use Hide Preview to collapse the preview panel and Save now to save progress without publishing.

Step 4: Publish

When the form meets your needs, click Publish to make it live. Before publishing, ensure:

• Questions and wording are correct
• Welcome and End screens are configured if needed
• Targeting and triggers are set as desired (if applicable)
• You've previewed the form

After publishing, the feedback form is active and will collect responses according to your configuration.

• Iterate — Use the chat interface to ask for more sections or different question types, then refine in the Form Builder.
